Angela Dewree has been illustrating since grammar school in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today she designs and illustrates fashion retail compaigns for clients such as Tootsie’s, the Children’s Collection and Hermes. Her whimsical style has appeared in coloring books, signage at retail malls, invitations and periodicals. She is the principal of Design & Inspiration, a Heights-based studio specializing in advertising, retail and corporate events.

A few years ago, Wendy McClure was helping her parents clean out their basement when she discovered a long-forgotten collection of 1974 Weight Watchers recipe cards. A popular blogger who had been winning fans with her sharp and funny commentary on weight and body image, McClure decided to post the Disco-era cards on her website. The cards, along with her remarks, quickly became an internet phenomenon, passed from friend to friend all around the world. McClure offers My Table readers a small sample from her recently published book.
