26 REHASHED: MEET OUR WINNERS
Last October My Table magazine rolled out its first big-time recipe contest. Partnering with Mathilde Liqueurs, we challenged Texas cooks—both professional chefs and inspired home cooks—to create their best recipes using any variety of Mathilde’s natural liqueurs. In this special edition of Rehashed, we present our five finalists’ recipes and announce the winner of our trip for two to Paris and Cognac, courtesy of Air France.

32 INFAMOUS FOOD FOLK
They’re never invited to A-list parties and nobody returns their calls. You won’t find their names in Vanity Fair or People or the National Enquirer. But we love them here at My Table, because they’re “Infamous Food Folk.”

34 COVER STORY: 30 REASONS WE LOVE LONE STAR FOOD
We Texans take our food as seriously as we do our football, our certainty that boots are suitable footwear anywhere, anytime, and our right to talk ugly about Oklahoma. Just try to slander our vittles, and we’ll defend our deep-fried passion as though you personally had launched that attack on the Alamo. Herewith, our 30 reasons why we think Texas food is among the world’s finest.

64 JUST DESSERTS: THE GREAT INDOORS
