Off The Eaten Path: Inspired Recipes for Adventurous Cooks by Bob Blumer ($20.00, Ballantine Books) is one of the goofiest, most out-there cookbooks we’ve seen in a while. It’s not for the serious cook, but would be a swell gift for the new, unsure beginner: It infuses kitchen duty with so much fun, it makes food preparation irresistible. |
