Le Cordon Bleu Wine Essentials

Le Cordon Bleu Wine Essentials ($30.00, John Wiley & Sons) is a good basic textbook on wine. It doesn’t concern itself with varieties, vintages and styles so much as how to buy wine and what to do with it once you get it home. It explains how to start a collection, how to store, open, decant and pour wine, as well as how to choose glassware, taste wine and assess wine in a restaurant.
